Hyndburn Bussinss Award 2022

Our company is incredibly proud to receive awards because it acknowledges our achievements and allows us time to reflect on how far the company has come. Ten years ago, My Colourful Memories CIC was just a simple summer project at Blackburn College University Centre. Ten years ago, it would have been unthinkable for a colouring book project to grow into an award-winning company. In addition to winning in 2022, the company also won the 2018 Hyndburn creative business award. It demonstrates that we have continued developing and innovating since winning the first award four years ago. Over the last four years, we have developed many innovative and creative methods of supporting people with dementia. Also, being a finalist for the Made in Hyndburn Award for the second time is a real honour.

Two years after establishing My Colourful Memories, the company won its first award on June 16th, 2018. Winning an award after putting so much work into a company is a gratifying experience. Members of the community nominated us for the award, which demonstrates that the work is making a difference in the lives of people with dementia.
